Is a refresher dive mandatory?
A refresher might be required if you’re diving with a guide or joining a liveaboard trip, especially if you haven’t been in the water for over a year. In all other cases, it’s totally up to you.
Dive equipment is not included in the course. You can bring your own gear or rent it from us if needed.
We offer refresher dives from shore in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea or Riviera Beach.
Both refresh your skills, but ReActivate includes optional eLearning and can update your certification date.
Most divers take a refresher after 6–12 months of inactivity, or if they don’t feel confident.
No, eLearning is optional. It’s only needed if you want an updated certification card.
The experience usually takes about 3–4 hours, including skill review and one or two ocean dives.
